Formed in August 2008, WHMS is a group of active scale model boat enthusiasts, who would like to offer the opportunity to other like minded people, not only to build scale models, but to get them on the water and support MPBA scale steering and ship handling competitions.

The club has the use of a pond in the Peter Pan Park to the west of Hull, near to the Humber Bridge. All of the club members are MPBA affiliated and they are working closely with Hull City Council, Friends of Peter Pan Park and the Park Rangers, who are very supportive in both providing a weed free pond of over 100 foot diameter with a raised wall round it and also restoring it to a beautiful feature in an already well established and cared for facility. There are 3 seating areas sheltered from the wind, eating facilities and plenty of parking spaces.
